Vegetarian BLT Sandwich

with tofu bacon and cucumber salad

1. Bake the tofu Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cut the tofu into thin slices. In a bowl, mix the maple syrup with the soy sauce, spices, liquid smoke, a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper. Place the tofu slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the mixture on both sides of the tofu. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Flip the tofu slices and cook for another 10 minutes.
2. Setup Thinly slice the tomato and radishes. Cut the cucumber into pieces. Keep a few lettuce leaves for the sandwich and slice the rest for a salad.
3. Make the salad Mix the sliced lettuce with the cucumber, radishes, a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper.
4. Plate your dish Toast the slices of bread to taste. Garnish with the mayonnaise, lettuce leaves, tomato slices and tofu bacon. For children, it's possible to take a single slice of bread and garnish it, to taste. Serve with the salad. Bon appétit!
