1. Setup
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Chop the onion and garlic. Thinly slice the chives.
2. Cook the croutons
Cut the bread into croutons. Place on a baking sheet. Add a drizzle of oil. Bake in the oven 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
3. Cook the onion
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the onion and brown sugar for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add salt and pepper.
4. Add the broth
Add 0.5 of the broth cube with 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a boil and cook until only about 1 tsp of liquid remains.
5. Bake in the oven
Set the oven to Broil. Mix the onion with the cream cheese, sour cream and chives. Put everything in a baking dish. Top with the mozzarella. Bake in the oven 3-4 minutes until browned.
6. Plate your dish
Serve with the croutons. Bon appétit!
