1. Setup
Bring 3-4 tbsp of butter to room temperature. You can use the microwave to speed up the process. Chop the basil. Cut the tomato(es) into small cubes. Thinly slice the cucumber(s) and the onion. Cut the bread into cubes. Make sure the olives are pitted.
2. Make the butter
Mix the butter with the basil and a bit of pepper. Put on a piece of plastic wrap and tightly roll into a cylinder. Put in the refrigerator until the last step of the recipe.
3. Cook the croutons and make the salad
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the bread cubes for 3-4 minutes until brown and crispy. Remove from the pan.
Mix the tomato(es) with the cucumber(s), the onion (to taste,
), the croutons, the dried oregano, the olives, a drizzle of oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
4. Cook the meat
Pat the meat dry. Add salt and pepper. Heat a drizzle of oil in the pan used for the croutons. Cook the meat for 3-4 minutes on each side over medium heat or until desired doneness.
5. Plate your dish
Serve the steak with a slice of butter and the salad.

Unless stated otherwise, follow the same instructions on the recipe card. Preheat the grill, setting the burners to medium-high. Oil the grate. Leave the ciabatta bread in one piece, brush with oil, salt and pepper. Grill for a few minutes, then remove and cut into cubes. Cook the steak directly on the grill.
