Edgar's Dutch Baby

1. Setup 425°F. Place an ovenproof pan in the oven while it preheats. Cut the apple into half moons. Zest the lemon. Prepare a plate with half of the sugar and the cinnamon.
2. Make the Dutch Baby batter In a large bowl, whisk the flour with the milk, the eggs, the lemon zest, the vanilla, the rest of the sugar and a pinch of salt. The mixture should have no lumps.
3. Cook the Dutch Baby Remove the pan from the oven with oven mitts and add in a light drizzle of oil to coat the pan. Pour the Dutch Baby mixture into the pan and bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes until puffed.
4. Cook the bacon Meanwhile, cook the bacon slices in a pan over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are brown and crispy. Once cooked, coat the cooked bacon slices with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Set aside.
5. Cook the apples Warm up 1-2 tbsp. of butter in another small pan over medium-high heat. Add the apples and the maple syrup and cook for 4-6 minutes or until the apples are colored.
6. Plate your dish Serve and garnish the Dutch Baby with the bacon, the apples and the cheddar. Sprinkle the icing sugar on top of it. Bon appétit!
