1. Setup
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Thinly slice the zucchini into half rounds. Zest the lemon. Cut the bacon into small pieces.
2. Cook the pasta
Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook 10-12 minutes until tender. Add the green peas to the pot 1-2 minutes before the pasta are done cooking. Keep 1/3 2P | 1/2 3P cup of the cooking water then drain.
3. Cook the bacon
Add the bacon to a skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Cook 3-5 minutes until browned. Add a drizzle of oil if needed and the zucchini and cook 4-6 minutes until browned.
4. Make the sauce
Put the herbs, garlic, lemon zest and cream in a container. Use a hand blender to obtain a homogeneous sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add the juice of half a lemon.
5. Add the pasta
Add the cooked pasta, cooking water and basil sauce to the pan with the bacon. Mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Add the arugula and mix.
6. Plate your dish
Serve the pasta. Add lemon juice to taste. Bon appétit!
