1. Cook the potatoes
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Cut the potatoes into large fries. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Add a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 23-26 minutes.
2. Setup
Thinly slice the tomato and the onion.
3. Cook the onion
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the onion with the brown sugar and a pinch of salt for 3-4 minutes. Deglaze with 1-2 tbsp of red wine or cider vinegar. Cook 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan.
4. Cook the patties
Wipe out the pan. Add a drizzle of oil over medium high heat. Cook the patties for about 4 minutes on each side.
5. Plate your dish
Heat the buns to taste. Garnish with the mayonnaise, onions, lettuce, tomato slices and patty. Serve with fries and ketchup. Bon appétit!
