Beef and Maple Teriyaki Cabbage Fried Rice

with carrot, cilantro and shelled edamame

1. Cook the rice Bring a saucepan with 1.5 2P | 2 3P cups of water to a boil. Pour the rice into the pan, cover and cook over low heat for 10-12 minutes.
2. Setup Grate the carrot. Chop the cilantro. Whisk the soy sauce with the spices, the maple syrup, 1 tbsp. of rice vinegar and 1/4 2P | 1/3 3P cup of water.
3. Cook the cabbage Warm up a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the cabbage and the carrot for 3-4 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Add the beef and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the cooked rice, mix well and cook for 2-4 minutes.
4. Make the sauce Add the sauce mix into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Dissolve the cornstarch in 1 2P | 2 3P tbsp. of water and add to the pan while whisking. When the sauce has thickened, add to the pan with the rice and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Cook the edamame Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the edamame to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes. Drain and mix with a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper.
6. Plate your dish Serve the fried rice topped with the cilantro, the sesame seeds and the lime juice (to taste). Serve with the edamame. Bon appétit!
