An offering that strengthens the company’s fall menu, designed to lighten parents’ daily load
Montreal, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 – As the back-to-school season approaches, Cook it is thrilled to
announce the launch of an all-new offering designed specifically to empower parents to regain control of their
family routines and start school days on the right foot with healthy, balanced, and convenient meals. Available
starting the week of August 20th, the 100% local children’s lunches and assorted snack bundles offered by Cook it
provide an efficient solution to the weekly planning of family meals.
“As a businesswoman and a mom, it was essential for me that Cook it offers local and affordable products,
addressing the daily challenges of parents,” explains Judith Fetzer, president and co-founder of Cook it. This new
turnkey and effortless offering aims to allow parents to focus on the essentials, such as spending quality time with
their family.”
A complete and competitive offering
The meal kit pioneer takes pride in being one of the first in its market to offer complete and affordable meals for
children, priced at just $7.00 per lunch and $0.95 per snack. The offered bundles are based on recommendations
from the Canadian Food Guide regarding healthy dietary habits for families, such as providing a variety of
vegetables, whole grains, and proteins to children throughout the day.
“Our culinary team has meticulously developed these meal solutions with the goal of providing nutritious and
creative lunches that meet school requirements by being nut-free and peanut-free,” explains Constance Tassé-
Gagnon, product team manager and culinary creation chef at Cook it.
“In addition to this new offering, an assortment of varied snacks has been designed to avoid bulk buying in grocery
stores and thus reduce food waste. Consisting of 21 different snacks, this assortment will evolve weekly, giving
parents the opportunity to regularly introduce new food options to their children,” she concludes.
An even more local autumn
After successfully joining the ‘Aliments du Québec on the menu’ program last June, the company maintains its
momentum by actively participating in the ‘Institutions Eat Local’ event held by Aliments du Québec, taking place
from September 25th to October 1st. This initiative demonstrates the ongoing commitment to the local producer
community and will culminate with the highly anticipated creation of Cook it’s very first 100% Quebec recipe,
offering its customers culinary experiences even more rooted in the region’s culture.
The launch of the brand-new fall menu marks a significant step in the company’s commitment to offering practical,
nutritious, and affordable meal solutions for all occasions. The eagerly awaited children’s offering is set to
contribute to successful school days with its delicious options.
